This major third-party logistics company entrusted G&P with their storage solution in Southern California, a region known for its stringent regulations and requirements. We successfully designed, permitted, and installed a comprehensive storage system tailored to their needs, which included Selective Pallet Racking with Labeling and Rivet Shelving.

G&P Construction engineered, designed, permitted, and installed a 187,000 sq ft Pick Module System. This for a customer with a global brand that specializes in fast fashion clothing. Holding 440,000 SKUs/Locations a Pick Module was the perfect solution for our customers needs. In addition, G&P overcame the hurdles involved with bringing a European company to the United States.

From May through November, our team completed the full decommissioning and white-boxing of the former Amscan / Party City distribution center in Chester, New York. The 878,460-square-foot facility was fully operational at project start, requiring a carefully sequenced approach to coordinate merchandise removal, asset recovery, and large-scale infrastructure decommissioning without disrupting ongoing operations. The scope included removal of extensive pallet racking, pick modules, ASRS systems, conveyors, and multi-story mezzanines, along with all associated mechanical and electrical systems. The project required significant logistics coordination, including hundreds of outbound merchandise shipments, asset auctions, and buyer pickups, all managed through a phased, room-by-room execution plan. Dedicated workstreams and daily on-site safety leadership ensured crews worked efficiently without overlap while maintaining strict safety and schedule controls. Sustainability and asset recovery were key components of the project. Equipment and materials were carefully inventoried, sold, reused, or recycled wherever possible, minimizing waste and maximizing asset value. Following decommissioning, the facility underwent final cleaning, floor scrubbing, and detailed inspections to prepare the space for turnover. Delivered on schedule with zero safety incidents, the project successfully transformed a fully operational distribution center into a clean, white-box facility ready for immediate re-tenanting.

G&P Construction recently completed a full facility decommission of a former Joann Fabrics distribution center in West Jefferson, Ohio. Our team managed every phase of the project — from the removal of all material handling equipment, racking, and conveyance systems to electrical and sprinkler disconnects, signage removal, and final cleanup. The facility was turned over in pristine white box condition, ready for its next tenant. Another successful project showcasing G&P’s ability to deliver turnkey decommissioning solutions safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This large-scale distribution center in Texas was repurposed from a massive retail company to another, a leader in distribution and logistics. Assets, MHE, and materials liquidated, and the newly restored facility was restored to an entirely tailored system for the new tenant.

Facing a tight deadline and a massive project, G&P once again demonstrated its exceptional capabilities. We successfully decommissioned a 750,000-square-foot e-commerce distribution center, handling every aspect of the process with efficiency and expertise. The project involved dismantling and removing all facility components, including a three-level pick module, conveyance systems, pack stations, IT equipment, pallet racks, bolted racks, lift equipment, and balers—essentially everything required to operate such a large-scale facility. G&P effectively managed the sale of items and hosted an auction, ultimately restoring the facility to a "white box" condition, ready for the landlord. This project underscores our ability to deliver comprehensive material handling solutions, even under the most challenging conditions.

Collaborating with Real Estate professionals, we facilitated showings of the facility to prospective tenants, ensuring a seamless transition.

When a leading national retailer needed to downsize and streamline operations, they turned to G&P for a full-service, turnkey solution. Our team expertly managed every aspect of the project, ensuring a seamless and efficient transition. We meticulously dismantled and removed all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) from the facility, leaving the space clean and ready for the next phase. Our skilled professionals also handled the removal of all office installations, electrical systems, and sprinkler systems, adhering to the highest safety and quality standards. In addition, we restored the facility to the exact specifications provided by the landlord, ensuring compliance and readiness for future use. Thanks to G&P, our client was able to completely White Box their facility with just one phone call. Client decided that this distribution center was not only dated but that it also did not flow well. Instead of pouring more time and money into a facility that did not function as needed, they hired G&P to decommission. G&P dismantled and removed all equipment, and provided white box services. G&P successfully completed the project for our client, by providing all labor, equipment, tools, and materials, led by a dedicated project manager who ensured seamless planning, scheduling, and communication throughout. All work was carried out in full compliance with OSHA standards, local permitting requirements, and proper licensing, insurance, and bonding. As part of the scope, G&P acquired and removed a wide range of facility assets not retained by the client, including pallet racking, conveyors, mezzanines, packaging equipment, and IT infrastructure. Key services included the safe disconnection and removal of electrical and sprinkler systems, demolition of mezzanines, guardrails, fencing, and conveyance systems, as well as the removal of cabling, compressors, signage, and anchor bolts. To maximize value, G&P left the facility in a pristine, white-box condition—clean, debris-free, and ready to be returned to the landlord. This project showcases our ability to deliver turnkey decommissioning solutions with efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction at the forefront.

Our team completed a large-scale racking installation for Chadwell Supply’s Canal Winchester facility, delivering over 8,000 pallet positions supported by more than 7,000 beams and 750 uprights. To maximize efficiency and flow, we also installed staging racks near dock doors and incorporated bay dividers for added organization. The result is a fully customized storage solution designed to support Chadwell’s operations with flexibility, capacity, and long-term durability.

For a new 65,000 SF distribution center, G&P partnered with Prologis Essentials to design and deliver a scalable storage solution for a leading automotive parts distributor. The system combined a 2-level rack-supported pick module, selective racking for oversized inventory, and a VNA layout to maximize efficiency and density. By leveraging high-quality pre-owned components and innovative re-engineering, G&P saved the client over $500,000, shortened the build schedule by two months, and ensured compliance with all local building and fire codes. The result: a future-ready, cost-effective storage system built to support growth and future automation.

Given limited site information, G&P provided a solution for our customer. 160 Rails of Pallet Flow were installed. Existing rail installed incorrectly provided for difficulty installing the new rails. G&P was able to correct the issue by taking multiple measurements and paying attention to details. The result was another happy customer.
